Suffolk Police Searching For Suspect Who Swiped iPhone 17 From UPS Store In Selden

A woman had scheduled for it to be delivered to her home, Suffolk police say.

SELDEN, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who swiped a phone at a store in Selden on March 3.

An iPhone 17 that was ordered for delivery to a woman's house by UPS, and when it was at the UPS Store on Middle Country Road, a man "picked it up" at around 3:35 p.m., according to police.

In an image from security video, the suspect can be seen wearing a black sweatshirt and sneakers, a green baseball hat, light-colored blue jeans, and a yellow workers' safety jacket.

The crime has been classified as petty larceny.
