Suffolk Police Seek Info On Catalytic Converter Theft In Holtsville

HOLTSVILLE, NY — Suffolk are seeking the public’s help in finding three people they say stole a catalytic converter from a sedan in Holtsville last month.

Police say three males wearing dark clothing got out of a silver Mercedes and used a hydraulic lift and cutting tools to steal a catalytic converter from a Honda Accord which was parked on Gazebo Lane on Sept. 15 just after 5 a.m.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information about the theft can submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, a confidential police hotline, or by using a mobile app, which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips. All calls, text messages, and emails will be kept confidential, police said.
