Suffolk Swiped Credit Cards Used In Nassau County: Police
A car in Ronkonkoma was broken into Aug. 9, and the credit cards were later used by a man at Home Depot in Hempstead, cops say.
RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk police are searching for a man they say used stolen credit cards from a car in Ronkonkoma and then tried to use them all the way in Nassau County at a Home Depot store.
Police say a vehicle on Springdale Drive in Ronkonkoma was broken into on Aug. 9, and the credit cards were later used by a man to buy goods at Home Depot on Fulton Avenue in Hempstead. The suspect then left the store in a dark-colored pickup truck, police said.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
