Suspect Used Stolen Credit Cards In Suffolk: Cops

Police say the woman used their cards at Walmart in Setauket and then Target In Centereach.

CENTEREACH, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the woman they say is suspected of using stolen credit cards at Walmart in Setauket and Target in Centereach last month.

Police say a wallet was stolen from Walmart at Centereach Mall on Middle Country Road, on Nov. 27 at about 6 p.m. A short time later, a woman used credit cards stolen from the wallet at Walmart, on Nesconset Highway in Setauket and Target Lon Pond Path in Centereach, police said.

In an image from surveillance video, the woman can be seen wearing a gray sweatsuit, white sneakers, a dark-colored jacket and a pocketbook.

The crime has been classified grand larceny by police.

Police did not release any further details.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
