Teamwork Shines Through Circle of Dance
First grade students at Hiawatha Elementary School recently performed a choreographed dance as part of the Circle of Dance program.
From Sachem Schools:Recently at Hiawatha Elementary School in the Sachem Central School District, each first grade class performed a creative, choreographed dance for an audience of kindergarten students and their fellow first graders as part of the Circle of Dance program.
During the program, students learned essential dance skills, such as balance, coordination and flexibility, while memorizing each of their individualized dance routines. Working together through eight practices, students also learned the importance of teamwork and collaboration while working to perfect their routines.
