HOLTSVILLE, NY - A teenager was injured when his car crashed into a pole in Holtsville Wednesday afternoon.
The Holtsville Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident on Blue Point Road at Buckley Road that occurred around 1:21 p.m.
First responder Heather Asaro was the first unit on scene and confirmed the driver, a 17-year-old male, was heavily trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters arrived shortly after and extricated the teen by removing the driver’s door and the rear driver’s side door.

The teen was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for his injuries via a Holtsville ambulance. Police said his injuries are not considered serious.
