Teens Nabbed In TikTok 'Kool-Aid Man Challenge' On Long Island: Cops
The challenge involves running through a fence to smash it like the iconic fruit drink mascot.
CENTEREACH, NY — Six teens were arrested Monday in connection with damaging fences as part of the Kool-Aid Man TikTok Challenge in the Centereach and Selden areas, Suffolk police said.
A homeowner on Cobblestone Court in Centereach heard loud noises on Monday at around 1 a.m., and saw on surveillance cameras that six males between 12 and 18 years old kicked several sections of his fence down, and then returned just after 4 a.m., running through the fence at the same time.
The practice mimics the iconic fruit drink mascot's penchant for smashing things as he runs through them.
