The Sachem North 2013 Football Schedule
Nor'Easter kicks off 2013 campaign on September 11 at Sachem East.
Suffolk County school sports governing body Section XI has released the 2013 football schedules and the Sachem School District is in for a big treat right away.
The Sachem North Flaming Arrows will travel to Sachem East on September 11 for its annual Nor'Easter to kick off the season opener.
Sachem North defeated East last year in the Nor'Easter contest at Fred Fusaro Stadium 21-14. However, East went deeper into the playoffs, defeating 7-1 Connetquot on a last second touchdown catch and sending themselves to the Suffolk County Championship game at Stony Brook University.
Both Sachem teams were eliminated by William Floyd on the strength of Hansen Trophy runner-up AJ Otranto. Otranto has graduated from Floyd and begins his career at Stony Brook.
Sachem North will get their chance for a little payback against Floyd on October 19. Another key game for the Flaming Arrows is on October 4 when the Northport Tigers visit Fred Fusaro Stadium. Northport defeated Sachem North at home last season as the Tigers put together an unlikely string of wins that got them into the playoffs.
The Sachem North squad now has some experience at defensive positions and will see the return of veterans like Malik Pierre, Trent Crossan and Kevin Bragaglia on offense.
The Homecoming Game is scheduled for October 11 against Commack.
