Two Drivers Under the Influence Crash Into Each Other in Ronkonkoma: Police
Two men seriously hurt in wrong-way head-on crash early Sunday.

Two men were seriously hurt in a wrong-way head-on crash in Ronkonkoma early Sunday and both men face charges for driving under the influence, police said.
According to police, 22-year-old Thomas Boyer, of Bohemia, was driving a 1997 Toyota south on Smithtown Avenue, a quarter mile south of Marconi Avenue, when his vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2001 Dodge around 3 a.m.
Boyer and the driver of the Dodge, 46-year-old Timothy Miller, of Selden, were admitted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Boyer is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol. Miller is charged with DWI. They will both be arraigned at a later date.
Both vehicles were impounded and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
