2 Adults, 1 Child Die After Suffolk Crash: Police
A second child was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
HOLBROOK, NY — Three people, including a motorcyclist, SUV driver, and a child passenger, died in a crash on Veterans Memorial Highway in Holbrook on Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
Emanuel Dandrea was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on the highway around 1:20 p.m. when he tried to turn left toward Coates Avenue and collided with a 2002 Honda motorcycle heading east, according to police.
Both Dandrea, 74, of Shoreham, and the driver of the motorcycle, Alaaeldien Elfaham, 23, of Deer Park, died at the scene, police said.

Two child SUV passengers, including an 11-year-old Holbrook child and an 8-year-old girl, were taken in an ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, according to police. The 11-year-old had later died from serious injuries, police said. The 8-year-old girl was treated there for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The highway was closed for around three hours.
