Woman Charged in Gas Station Robbery

UPDATE 8:25 a.m. Wednesday – Anne Brown, 58, was arrested and charged with first degree robbery. Brown, of Lake Ronkonkoma, will be arraigned in First District Court on Wednesday.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY – A woman robbed a Lake Ronkonkoma gas station at gunpoint Monday night, police said.

According to Suffolk Police, the woman entered the Speedway station located at 440 Portion Road, displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash from an employee at the counter at about 11 p.m. The employee complied and the woman fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries reported.

The robber's image was captured on surveillance video. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
