Woman ‘Seriously Injured’ By SUV In Farmingville: Police

The woman, whose name has not been released, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a Sport-utility vehicle as she crossed the roadway in Farmingville on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.

Police said that just before 11 p.m. the woman had been walking northbound across Horseblock Road at the intersection of Granny Road, when she was struck by a westbound 2021 Nissan Rogue, driven by Santos Umanzor-Velasquez.

The woman, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Umanzor-Velasquez, 29, of Bellport, was not injured,
