BOHEMIA, NY — Four Connetquot High School students have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program for their performance on the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Kyle Callahan, Nathaniel Johnson, Stephanie Loughlin and Ashaz Moen each received a Letter of Commendation, placing them among approximately 34,000 Commended Students nationwide.
The four students are among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program based on their performance on the qualifying exam.
Although Commended Students do not advance in the competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, the distinction recognizes their academic achievement and performance among students across the country.
