• Austin Lynch Ruled Competent To Stand Trial In Emily Finn Killing: Reports (patch.com) — Sayville residents following the Emily Finn case will see a major development, as a judge has ruled accused killer Austin Lynch competent to stand trial on second-degree murder and conspiracy charges. Prosecutors say Finn, an 18-year-old from Sayville and SUNY Oneonta freshman, was fatally shot at Lynch's Nesconset home last Thanksgiving, and the case is now moving forward toward an October court date.
