2017-18 School Calendar For Scarsdale District

You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2017-18 year in the Scarsdale schools.

• Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 4
• First day of school: Sept. 5
• Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 21-22
• Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 9
• Election Day (closed for students): Nov. 7
• Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 10
• Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 23-24 (early dismissal Nov. 22)
• Parent-Teacher Conference Day, K-5, 1/2 day school: Nov. 30
• Parent-Teacher Conference Day, K-5, 1/2 day school: Dec. 6 & 12
• Holiday recess: Dec. 25-Jan. 1 (school resumes Jan. 2)
• Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan 15
• Winter recess: Feb. 19-23 (schools reopen Feb. 26)
• Parent-Teacher Conference Day, K-2, 1/2 day school: Feb. 1, 7 & 13
• Conference day (school closed for students): March 22
• Spring recess: March 30-April 6
• Memorial Day (school closed): May 28
• High school graduation: June 22
• Final day of school: June 22

We know it's too soon, but if you want to know about the snow days, they will be taken in this order: April 5, April 4, April 3 and April 2.
