650 Passover Seder Meals Delivered to Kosher Residents

UJA's Passover Meal Delivery to 150 Westchester Households

UJA-Federation is helping 150 kosher households in Westchester celebrate Passover with special seder meals, seder plates, and kosher for Passover groceries. The meals were delivered by UJA volunteers on Wednesday, March 24, after being assembled by JCC of Mid-Westchester volunteers.

Seasons Kosher Caterer and Supermarket catered the 650 seder meals (two meals for each member of the household, one for each seder),which included traditional seder meal provisions:gefilte fish with red horseradish, chicken consommé, matzah balls, rotisserie chicken, potato kugel, steamed vegetables, seven-layer cake, matzah, and grape juice. The seder plate components included parsley, egg, charoset, shank bone, and horseradish.

The groceries were supplied by Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and included matzah, canned tuna, gefilte fish, macaroons, jelly, oil, and grape juice.
