The future Greenburgh leaders mentoring series--next session: Monday, August 10 at 7 PM at Greenburgh Town Hall -focusing on residents in their 20s, 30s and 40s who want to learn how to get involved.
Are you in your 20s, 30s, early 40s? Are you interested in speaking out about issues you care about? And, making a difference. Would you like to be appointed to an advisory or policy making board? Have you thought about running for office?
I meet with residents who are interested in pursuing public service once a month. The goal: to mentor the next generation of town leaders for a life of public service. Our next mentoring session will be held on Monday, August 10 at 7 PM to 8:30 PM at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave.
27 people attended our last session. If you haven't attended any of the previous mentoring sessions you are invited to attend the session on Monday, August 10. Each month we will hear from different speakers.
Our next session focuses on legislative advocacy. How you can be an effective advocate for a cause. We have two great speakers:
Matt Salton is a Federal Policy Manager for the NY League of Conservation Voters. Matt is responsible for coordinating federal campaign efforts between the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania League of Conservation Voters organizations. Prior to his work at League of Conservation Voters, Matt was the Environmental Action Associate at Hudson River Sloop.
Perry M. Ochacher, Esq., is the Founder and President of Willett Public Affairs, a New York–based government relations and lobbying firm serving clients at the state and local levels willettpublicaffairs.com+1. He has over three decades of experience in law, politics, and lobbying, with a career spanning both the public and private sectors.
If you have any questions about our mentoring program and would like to be added to the list please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. This program is open to residents – no matter what political party you are enrolled in. The goal: to encourage more people to get involved- to prepare the next generation of leaders.
