You might be eligible for reductions in your Con Ed bills --see info below on how to apply
The discounts on heating bills will be offered to more people this year
News & Town Board Reports (gblist)Posted on October 07, 2026
Many Greenburgh residents may be eligible for a discount on their heating bills this winter. The discounts are part of the state's new Enhanced Energy Affordability Program. .
In the past, the Energy Affordability Program made discounts available to people receiving a range of social service support. But under new financial guidelines, households not previously eligible for discounts can get a break too. For example, if you're a ConEd customer in a three-person household, you may qualify if you have household income of up to $145,800 a year.
The discount you will receive varies by utility and what type of energy you use.
If you think your income might qualify you for the new Enhanced Energy Assistance, please check your eligibility and apply.
You can do this online either through New York State or through Con Ed.
