Three-course prix fixe menu offers a variety of delectable dishes at a great value

WESTCHESTER, N.Y.  (March 14, 2012) – FIG & OLIVE WESTCHESTER, one of Westchester’s premier restaurants, proudly announces their upcoming participation in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.  Running from March 18th to March 31st FIG &OLIVE patrons are invited to feast on a variety of esteemed dishes. FIG & OLIVE will present diners with a three course prix fixe menu at a reduced price.

Influenced by the Riviera and Costal regions of France, Italy and Spain, the world-class prix fixe menu is priced at $20.95 for lunch and $29.95 for dinner, Sunday dinner through Friday lunch.  FIG & OLIVE is located in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center, 696 White Plains Road, Scarsdale, N.Y.

 “We are so excited to be a part of Hudson Valley Restaurant week, and we look forward to serving new and returning customers alike,” said Ludo Barras, FIG & OLIVE marketing director, “We chose a diverse menu that will please a wide variety of clients.”

To begin this savory experience, excite your pallet with a Crostini tasting. Assortments include mushroom, truffle artichoke and parmesan, or shrimp, avocado cilantro and tomato. If you prefer to begin with a comforting  soup, taste the intriguing Northern Italian Mushroom and Truffle Soup, a combination of cremini mushroom, garlic, onion, and thyme in a white truffle olive oil.

For lunch, treat yourself to a succulent dish such as the Amish Roasted Chicken, marinated with garlic rosemary lemon, this roasted chicken is filled with flavor and paired with olive oil potatoe and haricot vert with shallots. If you prefer something lighter, FIG AND OLIVE’s Smoked Duck Breast Salad is a perfect combination of fruits, vegetables, and fresh smoked duck breast sure to satisfy any appetite.

For a more indulgent dinner entrée, try the FIG & OLIVE Goat Cheese Oregano Ravioli, a house made oregano with goat cheese, ricotta ravioli, red bell emulsion roasted cherry tomato,  parmesan cheese, all topped with an oregano infused olive oil. You may also choose to indulge in the veal short ribs, which are glazed with a fig balsamique served with a side of baby carrots and fingerling potatoe.

And don’t forget to add some the wine! FIG & OLIVE’s wine list includes over 30 selections from across France, Italy and Spain that are offered by the glass or bottle along with a selection of champagne. (Alcohol not included in fixed price.)

End this delightful culinary experience on a sweet note by sampling the desserts: Chocolate dot de crème or a dessert “crostini”.
