Alex Kirsch, Age 16, Won at the Young Inventor Challenge!

During last 10+ years, over 10,000 kid entrepreneurs — Kidpreneurs — between the ages of 6 and 18 have entered the Young Inventor Challenge hosted by the Chicago Toy and Game Fair (CHITAG), North America’s largest consumer toy and game fair!

This event enables kids to expand their creativeness and show off their hard work and dedication to their craft and imagination. This is a great event for a variety of ages to experience! Whether its creating inventions, to pitching them, participants develop confidence, creativity, and presentation skills at a young age. Join the celebration of young innovation and see the future of toys and games unfold!

The Chicago Toy and Game Fair will be hosting the 20th Annual Young Inventor Challenge® (YIC) this November 8th, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois!

One of last years inventors, Alex Kirsch from Scarsdale, New York entered the Young Inventor Challenge, and WON under the Best Potential - Senior Winner category. Check out their invention here:

Registration for this year’s Young Inventor Challenge opens in August ! Anyone from ages 6 to 18 may enter, and it is not required to be local to Chicago.
