Friday, September 18 at the JCCMW and
Friday, October 16 at Sheldrake Environmental Center
1:30–2:30 PM
What can you discover when you take a closer look at the natural world? In this two-part series, naturalists from Sheldrake Environmental Center will show you how nature walks are great opportunities for observation and scientific discovery.
The first session at the JCCMW will introduce citizen science and teach you how to use iNaturalist, an app to help you identify and record what you find in nature. Then, in the second session, you’ll put your new skills to work during a guided nature walk at Sheldrake Environmental Center, where you’ll explore the trails and document your observations alongside a Sheldrake naturalist.
Please bring your charged smartphone to the program so that you may use iNaturalist!
