Candidates for School Board Wanted in Scarsdale

Qualified individuals can complete a biographical form located online.

The Scarsdale Board of Education is looking for people interested in becoming trustees of the school district for next year.

All Scarsdale district residents are encouraged to propose names of qualified individuals.

They must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, a qualified voter and a resident of the district for at least one year prior to the May 17, 2016 election.

Three seats are looking to be filled. Those are held by Leila Maude, current BOE president; William Natbony, current BOE vice president, and Suzanne Seiden, who is completing her second and final term at the end of the 2015-16 school year.

Candidates should complete a biographical information form and submit it to School Board Nominating Committe Chairman John Spiro at sbncchair@gmail.com no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23.
