Celeb Sighting in Scarsdale

Brooke Shields was at Chat American Grill last Friday, but it’s not what you think. She wasn’t eating their incredible burgers, noshing on their crispy fries or drinking any of their sublime cocktails. Instead, the actress and Princeton grad best known for “The Blue Lagoon” and her Calvin Klein Jeans ads was filming a commercial at the eatery in the village at 1 Christie Place.

While Chat kept their lips sealed, employees did drop this bit of information.

“She wasn’t doing anything for us. It was a commercial for La-Z Boy. They were just using the property,” said an employee.

Camera crews were stationed on the patio area of the restaurant, which is a beautiful terrace and a great place to enjoy dinner on a summer night. We look forward to seeing the commercial.

Shields visiting Scarsdale is one of just some exciting celeb sightings in Scarsdale since the rumors surfaced that Beyonce and Jay-Z were thinking of moving in. Just as a refresher, they did pick up their marriage license at Village Hall back in the spring of 2008.

Who knows - maybe Shields's visit will generate more interest in our community for filming locations. It’s a great way to boost the local economy, as well as to promote our town and its beautiful houses and landscaping.
