Clock Is Ticking On Postal Job Openings

SCARSDALE, NY — Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner has passed along information that might interest town residents who are looking for a new job. "In recent months I have received many complaints about mail service," Feiner said. "I met with all the local postmasters and with the regional administrator for the postal service. The postal service is looking to hire hard working and reliable employees."

Feiner said the postal service has been experiencing staffing problems at some of the post offices locally, causing problems.

"Some residents complain that they are not getting mail delivered to them," he said. "Others, that the wrong mail is delivered to their homes or that they are not receiving medications. If good people who are out of work are hired — service could improve."

Clock Ticking on July 16 Application Deadline for Westchester Postal Jobs

White Plains, NY - Job applications for Postal Support Employees (PSEs) are being accepted online through July 16 for Sales & Services / Distribution Associate positions for Post Offices in Westchester County. With a salary of $16.62 per hour, PSE Sales & Services / Distribution Associates perform a variety of clerical duties in mail processing and retail / customer services.

• Under USPS Account click on Create an account. The system will walk you through completing your Profile.

• Apply for open positions by clicking on Search Now. For positions in Westchester County and other areas of the State, click New York under Location and search.

• Select PSE SALES&SVCS/DISTRIBUTION ASSC – WESTCHESTER & PUTNAM COUNTY NY NC10117913 or any of the other open positions.

A written exam is required. Instructions regarding the exam process will be sent via email once the candidate successfully submits an online application.

Qualified applicants will be required to pass all pre-employment suitability factors including, but not limited to: employment history background check, military history, criminal conviction history, drug screening, personal interview and if selected, medical suitability.
