Crohn's Disease and Colitis Fundraiser

Food, beer, wine, soda and merriment are planned for Harper's Bar & Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry on Wednesday, May 29 to benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) Team Challenge program. 

A raffle will also be held with prizes expected to include gift certificates for merchandise or services contributed by local merchants or businesses and for dining at Harper's.

Proceeds from this evening at Harper's will help two participants, registered participant Chase Planson and guest Morrisa Leuzzi, in their quest to qualify for taking part in a Team Challenge half marathon (13.1 miles). 

The cost of admission at Harper's will be $30 per person which includes cocktail-style stationary hors d'oeuvres and a buffet. Food will be prepared under the supervision of Harper's chef Chris Vergara.   

The amount of funds to be raised for a person to qualify for participation in the 2013 Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon on June 1, 2013 is $2,900. The participants receive prior training to prepare them for the run or walk.
