Edgemont School District Names Anthony De Rosa Director of Athletics

The Edgemont School District recently appointed Anthony De Rosa as its new Athletics Director, School Superintendent Dr. Victoria S. Kniewel announced.

De Rosa is familiar with the district, having coached bowling and football in the system from 2010 to 2013. Most recently, De Rosa was Coordinator of Athletics and a Phys Ed teacher in Brookfield, Conn.

“Anthony has proven success in Edgemont as a coach, and he has connections with our students,” wrote Dr. Kniewel in a statement to parents on the district website. “He has articulated an interest in extending that relationship to a broader sphere. We believe that Anthony understands the unique needs of the student-athletes in Edgemont and that his skills and interests match with the identified needs of our interscholastic athletic program.”
