Edgemont student works to prevent drowning-her sister lost life

Samantha Pfeffer wants to make sure that the tragedy impacting her family doesn't happen to others

SAMANTHA PFEFFER SPOKE BEFORE GREENBURGH TOWN BOARD
Tomorrow, Sunday May 28th and Monday May 28th the Greenburgh Town Pool opens at AF Veteran park from 10 AM to 6 PM. If you have small children please WATCH them. And, if you are on vacation or taking your child to a friends pool in someone's backyard, be careful.

Samantha Pfeffer is an Edgemont High School student. She is President of the Water Guardian--an organization that provides awareness regarding drowning and offers tips on how one can reduce the chances of a drowning incident. When Samantha was 8 years old her two year old sister drowned in a backyard pool while on vacation. Samantha spoke before the Greenburgh Town Board this past Wednesday and also was interviewed on News12 about her efforts.
