The Disaster Reserve Institute is a free, one-day course that will empower participants with the knowledge and training needed to provide aid to shelter residents who have been displaced by a disaster. Participants will also learn about the history and mission of the Red Cross as well as become acquainted with Red Cross Disaster Response policies and procedures. After completion of the Institute, Reserve members will only be called upon in times of great need in Westchester County. To register, visit www.westchestercounty.redcross.org.
