The Friends of Scarsdale Library is holding the First Annual Adult and Teen Spelling Bee. This fun event will feature teams of spellers that can collaborate to spell words on a white board. In the final round the top teams will spell words verbally.
Scarsdale's own Ed Coleman, the voice of the New York Mets, will emcee the event. Elementary school children have been busy entering themed posters into the Spelling Bee poster contest.
Proceeds will support the acquisition of state-of-the-art technological equipment for the community room at the Scarsdale Library.
