Jessica is back at Be True Yoga to share one of her signature master classes: Rooting the thighbones back into the hamstrings. This action, one of the most elemental alignment points in asana, creates an ease of breath, a freedom in the lower back, and a movement deep into the core of the body. In this two-hour workshop we will explore rooting the thighbones in various asanas from standing poses, to backbends, to seated forward bends, and look at how the emotion of fear often disallows this movement in the physical body. When we cultivate compassion, and move from the fear that accompanies the illusion of separateness, to the freedom and lightness that accompanies the opening of the heart, the action of the thighbones rooting back will occur spontaneously
