Schools

From Theory to Practice-Critical and Creative Thinking in the Classroom

What does critical and creative
thinking look like?

Scarsdale High School teachers will
demonstrate approaches they use in the classroom that encourage students to
think critically and creatively, and to engage in complex problem solving
activities. Parents and community members will have the opportunity to select
from a series of workshops that illustrate components of Scarsdale's Education
for the Future. If you are at all curious about how the Scarsdale schools are
preparing this generation of students for the complex and demanding world they
will encounter, this program is for you.

Community members will also have the
opportunity to meet new members of the high school staff, including the new
Athletic Director, Bob Siracuse.

The first PTA meeting of the school
year will take place following the presentation.
