Pre-Camp Performing Arts Programs - Summer Stage

The Scarsdale Recreation Department Presents, "SUMMER STAGE."


Calling all Scarsdale kids that love to act in funny skits and explore making stage props. Get ready for a journey into the theater. This is the program you don't want to miss.

"Summer Stage" is a theater workshop where we will learn acting techniques by stepping in to character and performing in improvisations. Play fun theater games and do warm-ups to your favorite music.

This class encourages creativity and expression through performance.
There will be a performance for friends and family on our last class.


DATES: June 28th – 30th (3 Days)
WORKSHOP I: Grades 2-4 (1:00pm – 2:30pm)
WORKSHOP II: Grades 5-8 (2:45pm-4:15pm)

LOCATION: Heathcote Elementary School Auditorium
FEE: $100
TEACHER: Kathleen McCarthy-Udoff, M.A.

Kathleen McCarthy-Udoff holds a Master of Arts from Manhattanville College and a Bachelor of Arts from S.U.N.Y. Purchase. She is an "outreach arts in education" enrichment teacher in theater and performing arts. For the past 5 years, she has taught for the Scarsdale Middle School's drama club, and brought her theater and creative writing workshops to Fox Meadow and Greenacres schools. Her drama classes bring children together to perform, but most of all to have fun.
