The 86 member Westchester Band presents their 5th free concert of the summer on Thursday July 26th at pm. Join your friends and neighbors not only in the audience, but in the band. This week's soloist is Edgemont resident and clarinetist Gary Dranch. Conductor Alan Hollander, former head of music at Edgemont High School, now Professor of Music at Lehman College will once again offer a varied program. Rossini's Overture to "La Cenerentola", Fucik's "La Florentiner, Dixieland, Big Band, light classics plus the popular "mystery tune" with a prize from one of the Scarsdale Village merchants. Support for these concerts comes from the Scarsdale Department of Parks and Recreation and Friends of Westchester Band, a non-profit organization that accepts donations.
