Winter Learning at WRT

Westchester Reform Temple will present a three-session
Winter Learning program with Rabbi Jan Katzew. A single verse from the book of Micah -- “To do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God" -- will be the basis of discussion for the series. In each session, Rabbi Katzew will draw upon a variety of classical and contemporary texts and images.  Dialogue will examine how individuals could focus on these ethical aspirations to live more justly, mercifully and humbly. Sessions will be held on Monday, January 30, Tuesday, February 7, and Monday, February 13 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.

Rabbi Katzew serves as Director of Lifelong Learning at the Union for Reform Judaism, and in addition to rabbinic ordination from HUC-JIR, he holds a doctorate from The Hebrew University in Jewish Thought and Education.  He has written numerous scholarly and popular articles and has been a scholar-in-residence at scores of congregations.

This event is free and open to the public.
