Feiner: Don't Forget, School Taxes Due Tuesday

Greenburgh does not set school taxes but does collect them from residents.

The following announcement is from Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner:

A friendly reminder--the first half of the school taxes are due Tuesday, September 30th. The link to the Receiver of Taxes website is posted below--which highlights how you can pay your taxes in person (Town Hall will be open till 7 PM Tuesday evening). You can pay your taxes on line by following the info in the link and can also pay your taxes via credit card (there is a service fee for credit card payments).

The town acts as a collector of taxes for the school districts but we have no control over how much the school taxes are. School districts are independent of the town government. Voters have the opportunity to vote on school budgets each year. The town guarantees the school districts 100% of the taxes owed to them, whether you pay the school taxes or not. Avoid paying penalties/late fees by paying your taxes on time.
