While discussing the idiosyncrasies of the two instruments, participants will get practice in constructing, scraping, shaping and adjusting reeds to suit their needs. Reed tools are not required for the workshop, however, a list can be provided for those who wish to use their own tools by contacting Janet Grice at jangrice@yahoo.com.
Participants should bring their instruments as the last 45 minutes of the workshop will be spent playing together in a double reed ensemble.
