JCC Helping Students, Parents Learn The "Ins and Outs" Of College
The program, held in Scarsdale, is for high school students and their parents.

For all the high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors out there trying to make sense of what is needed for applications, acceptance and general college life, the JCC is offering a little assistance.
Parents and students are invited to attend the JCC of Mid-Westchester's program, “The Ins and Outs of Applying to College,” on Sunday, April 29 at 7:00pm at
Steve Singer and Jacques Steinberg are presenting the program. According to the JCC's announcement, the presenters have "extensive experience in and knowledge of the college admissions process."

Singer is a retired director of college counseling and he will be a distinguished visiting faculty member at Harvard Summer Institute for College Admissions this summer. Steinberg is the author of The Gatekeepers: Inside the Admissions Process of a Premier College and a senior editor at The New York Times.
The two experts will lead a discussion on the overall college admissions process, including applications, essays, transcripts and interviews and also how to finance that college tuition, according to the JCC. Students and parents will have the chance to ask questions after the talk.

Tickets for the event are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased online at www.jccmw.org.
