Scarsdale residents will learn about the nonpartisan system that has been in place to elect our school board and village board.

The League of Women Voters of Scarsdale will hold an information meeting on the nonpartisan election system on Monday, April 27, at 10:00am at Village Hall, 3rd floor. Residents will learn about the nonpartisan system that has been in place to elect our school board and village board. A Q & A period will follow the presentation. The meeting is open to the public. For more information, contact Susie Rush, srush76@gmail.com.

The League is a nonpartisan organization committed to promoting the informed and active participation of citizens in government. League members come together to study problems and advocate solutions, educating residents about issues that impact the community on the local, state and national levels, and evaluating responses by government on those issues. The League provides community members the opportunity to work collectively to effect positive change in the schools and village, to hear from civic and political leaders about pressing local, state and national concerns, and to meet and interact with a cross-generational group of interested, civic-minded individuals.
