Mail Delivery Problems Surface In Greenburgh After Nor'easter

Some residents contacted the town supervisor said they were expecting medicine and were getting stressed by not receiving it.

GREENBURGH, NY — Mail problems are arisen in the wake of the nor’easter Tuesday in the Town of Greenburgh.

Supervisor Paul Feiner said he’s received emails and phones calls that a number of residents did not receive mail Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“Some were expecting medicine and have been very stressed,” he said.

Feiner said he contacted Richard Conte, the regional administrator for the United States Postal Service.

“He is following up on each individual complaint that I have forwarded to him,” he said.

Conte sent Feiner this explanation: “The severe weather has hampered mail movement across the country into district. We are back to normal in district, but still have mail arriving from mixed state network.”
