That doesn't push them out of the running for fantastic new-age diner food, either.
With fresh offerings of oversized salads, sausage omlettes, frozen yogurt with fresh fruit, and crispy bacon and oozing chocolate-chip pancakes, they manage to hit the spot in marrying traditional diner fare with healthy and updated dishes, too.
The food is very satisfying and the atmosphere is family-friendly. On a recent Sunday morning, booths had their own waiting line, and staffers didn't have a second to spare between the overfilled family tables and single diners needing coffee refills.
The service is decent – if sometimes a little delayed – and staff are accessible and very professional.
The Metro Deli also offers catering services for all your special occasions and holiday celebrations.
