Mobile Parking App Comes To Hartsdale

Motorists in Hartsdale now have the option of paying for parking using their smartphones.

HARTSDALE, NY — People who park in Hartsdale will be joining other communities that offer motorists the ability to pay for parking using a smartphone. The Hartsdale Public Parking District announced the launch of the Passport Parking mobile app that uses a "pay by phone" parking payment system.

Visitors and residents can use the app to park at more than 400 on-street and off-street parking spaces throughout the district.

According to information on the district's website, users can pay to park and even receive alerts when their parking session are ending.

They can also get e-mail receipts and view their parking history from one secure place.

The district's parking meters will continue to accept coins to pay for parking.

Places in the Hudson Valley where the Passport app is used include many Metro North parking facilities, White Plains and Rye.

The Passport Parking mobile app is available at the App Store, Google Pay or online at passportparking.com.
