No Big Box Wine, Liquor Store For Hartsdale
The State Liquor Authority took into account the number of wine and liquor stores already in the the area.

HARTSDALE, NY — Mom and pop liquor stores were the big winners Tuesday when the State Liquor Authority nixed a license request from Total Wine & More, a national chain based in Maryland. The retailer had hoped to open a store in the Dalewood Shopping Center with 100 employees.
The unanimous decision liquor authority cited the number of purveyors of wine already in the area as a major reason for not approving the request, the Journal News said.
There was an organized effort by local wine and spirits stores pushing back against the license request.
