Operation Candy Cane Scheduled for Saturday in Hartsdale

HARTSDALE, NY — The Hartsdale Professional Firefighters' Operation Candy Cane will take place Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Hartsdale Professional Firefighters will be spreading holiday cheer while escorting Santa Claus and his elves around the Hartsdale Fire District in a Fire Engine handing out candy canes to everyone.

To make sure that you are at the right location awaiting Santa’s arrival, look out for the new marker signs.

Organizers said to allow for some flexibility with the estimated arrival times.

Also, due to safety concerns, firefighters ask that all children are at the designated locations approximately 10 minutes prior to arrival times to avoid children running around and near the fire trucks.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place Sunday Dec. 11.
