Patch Readers Weigh in on Animal Abuse Registry

Patch FB fans in central Westchester aren't sure about New York lawmakers' idea about an animal abuser registry to publicize the names of people convicted of cruelty under Buster's Law.

"No! We have enough criminalizing already," said Warren Harry on the White Plains Patch Facebook page. "The criminal justice system is not our best, or only tool in our box of societal responses."

And Billy Ford, writing on the Pleasantville-Briarcliff Patch Facebook page, saw a facetious flaw in the proposal. "Unfortunately many animals still do not have access to computers!"
