Planning Board to hold discussion Wed on Accessory Dwelling Unit

A proposed law will be discussed Wed night. Public comments welcome

The Town of Greenburgh Planning Board will be holding a public discussion related to a proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit local law (draft law at this link: https://greenburghny.com/DocumentCenter/View/12010/CD-1-12-18-2023-Local-Law-Chapter-285-ADU-Local-Law), on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will take place in the Town Hall Auditorium, located at 177 Hillside Avenue, Greenburgh, NY, and will also take place via Zoom video conference.

The Planning Board will take public comment which can be done in person at the meeting or via Zoom video conference. Should you wish to comment live at the meeting via Zoom video conference, you must pre-register through the Department of Community Development and Conservation by emailing publiccomment@greenburghny.com and requesting the Zoom link for the meeting.

Persons interested in viewing the meeting live can also do so via the Town’s website at https://ny-greenburgh.civicplus.com/485/Watch-Live-Board-Meetings or local Altice Channel 76 and Verizon/FiOS Channel 35.
In addition, individuals may submit comments (recommended by January 24th) via email to planning@greenburghny.com, or regular mail to Deputy Commissioner, CD & C, 177 Hillside Avenue, Greenburgh, NY, 10607, and such comments will be made part of the record.

This Public Discussion is being convened to consider a Zoning Text Amendment (Town Board referral) to regulate and permit Accessory Dwelling Units in the R-5, R-7.5, R-10, R-15, R-20, R-30, and R-40 Zoning Districts, by Special Permit from the Planning Board.
Please note that the Town Board will separately hold a public hearing at a date in the future to be determined.
