Police: Rectory Lane Home Burglarized

Rectory Lane homeowners may have scared off a burglar on Oct. 29 when they returned home in the evening, but not before the thief made off with jewelry, according to The Daily Voice.

When the homeowner entered a ransacked bedroom, he smelled what he thought was cologne, prompting him to quickly call the police. No suspects were found in the home when police arrived.

In addition to a bedroom being ransacked, a safe was opened in the incident, said Scarsdale Police.
