POLL: Who Will You Choose as County Legislator in Today's Election?

For Scarsdale residents, the only contested race in today's election is the County Legislator position. Dr. Iris Pagan of White Plains, a Republican, and legislator William J. Ryan, a Democrat, are vying for two 2-year terms on the Westchester County Board of Legislators representing District 5 (White Plains, Scarsdale). 

Pagan's campaign stresses fiscal responsibility, her opposition toward the the Housing and Urban Development housing settlement and her support for County Executive Rob Astorino.

Meanwhile, Ryan, who is bidding for his eighth term, plans to press the State to take over the local Medicaid costs, help create jobs and boost local economy with an economic development program and continue the county’s New Homes Land Acquisition and Housing Implementation programs to help create fair and affordable housing for working families.
