Scarsdale Adult School Presents Storytelling Event

The evening is modeled after the wildly popular the Moth storytelling organization.

SCARSDALE, NY — Scarsdale Adult School will present an evening of true personal stories told on stage and without notes by a multi-generational mix of local luminaries, former Scarsdale residents and award-winning storytellers.

Modeled after the wildly popular the Moth storytelling organization, SAS’s own Tales from the ’Dale and Beyond gathers friends and neighbors together for a heartwarming and potentially hilarious evening of storytelling. True to the requirements of a Moth tale, these yarns are required to be true (at least as the teller remembers them), and present a conflict that somehow gets resolved within the story.

Hosted by Sandi Marx, a former Scarsdale resident and current fixture on the New York storytelling scene, Tales from the ‘Dale and Beyond will feature stories by Scarsdale High School teacher and former model Rashid Silver, 107.1 The Peak radio host Jimmy Fink, Scarsdale High School graduates Lucie Fink (a social media star) and David Handelman (a print journalist turned TV writer/producer), plus Moth GrandSLAM winner Danusia Trevino, Scarsdale Middle School teacher Denise Del Balzo, Fran Scheffler-Siegel, writer Victoria Assa, textiles designer Lori Weitzner and Dr. June C. Sambol.
