Scarsdale Board of Trustees Approve Budget Hearing, Fundraiser, Police Uniforms And Art Show
The Village Board of Trustees met this week and approved several items.

The held an all-approval meeting this week. Fundraisers, police uniforms, a budget hearing and an arts fest are all coming to Scarsdale.
The BOT approved a public hearing on the to be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 8:00 p.m. in Rutherford Hall in Village Hall. Residents can voice their comments, questions and concerns about the fiscal year 2012-2013 budget.
The board approved the transfer of funds from the unappropriated capital fund to the 2011-2012 capital budget. The $52,000 transfer will be used to replace an awning, remove an oil tank and restore the patio at Fire Station Three, which had been damaged during Hurricane Irene.

In addition, the Scarsdale Police Department will be receiving new uniforms. The BOT approved the awarding of the uniform contract, which will provide replacement uniforms to the PD, under their 2012/2013 general fund operating budget.

On July 19, the Scarsdale Uniformed Firefighters Association will hold a "Ronald McDonald House Day in the Country" fundraiser. The BOT approved the event, which will be held at the Scarsdale Municipal Pool Complex from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Also, the BOT approved the Chamber of Commerce's Westchester Festival of the Arts scheduled for May 19 and 20; the Taste of Scarsdale on June 3 and the Scarsdale Health Fair on June 16.
Lastly, the board approved the awarding of a contract for the South Fox Meadow Stormwater Improvement Project.
Trustee Robert Steves said the project was "long in coming" and took a very complex effort from the town and staff.
