PHOTO GALLERY: Scarsdale Celebrates Arbor Day

The Village of Scarsdale held the annual Arbor Day event today.

A small crowd gathered, braving the wind, outside of in Scarsdale this afternoon for the annual Arbor Day Celebration.

Mayor Miriam Levitt Flisser, Superintendent of Parks Suzanne Busby, Deputy Superintendent of Public Works Eric Garringer and Dan Hochvert of the Friends of Scarsdale Parks all attended the ceremony.

The village planted a Honey Locust outside of Village Hall.

The village has been designated a "Tree City U.S.A." for the past 29 years by the Arbor Day Foundation, according to John Goodwin, of the Village Manager's Office.
